Default 2nd resto Henkels 80 in Brazilian Koa

Here is my second restore, i think she turned out wonderfully. Its a J.A. Henckels twin works 80, i have her listed in the database before i touched her scales. The scales are made out a solid piece of Brazilian Koa, the whole think in a single piece, no wedge, with a bottom all the way across.tell me what you think.

Great job! I found one piece scales to be very tricky. The blade centres well.

Looks like a really nice fit for the razor, with the scales just long enough to cover the blade.

How does the blade stop in the scales? I'd be concerned about edge damage if the blade over-travelled in the scales, and touched the solid wood back.

There is a thin piece of water treated leather inlaid in the bottom that the blade rests on.

Does the edge touch the leather?? If the edge touches anything you are asking for a quickly dulled edge IMO. Cool idea though.

Great concept on the scales but gotta agree with Alex. You don't want the edge touching anything other than your beard.

The full back on the scales looks awesome! The one piece is something I'm gong to have to try.
