    i was rebulding a wade butcher with rambutan scales and i got them just right sealed with watco then 2 coats of poley high gloss, loked great pined the wade butcher in got the tenson just right closed prefict then i got to studeying the pins and one side had a hair line crack for about 1 1/2 from the pin eend down the scales it was a defalt in the pice of wood so i let this be another lesson to pay attention to deatails, no matter how much you have done.

    Had me worried when I read 'hair line crack' Thought you were gonna say in the blade

    At least the timber's replaceable even if it's a PITA to do over
