    Default Tallyho Rescue

I snagged this Tallyho and took on the challenge of bringing it back. As you can see in the before picture, the scales have a missing tip and the blade is very rusty.

It came back nicely. The blade has visible etching so I didn't take all way to a mirror finish. I managed to repair the tip and clean up the scales. As with any Tallyho, this steel is exceptional.

This is one of the antique chopper/dreadnought razors that is going to be included in my Millennium Rotation. When the rotation is finish I will have seven razors with a total age of over 1,000 years. I have six of the seven restored. I'll post photos when it's finished.

I've read some great things about these razors, but never had the pleasure of shaving with one.

Great work on the restore. It's hard not to go for the mirror finish at times, but you did right by keeping this one original. You've kept a lot of character that would otherwise be lost, especially in a group rotation that old.

I can't wait to see the finished set!

The scale repair is really nice, great save. It would have been a shame to throw away such cool set of scales. I like your work.

What Charlie said ! Great save!
