The Collection, as she stands
Well, here are the razors that make up my "Collection".
First the mysterious "1893 World's Fair Razor" which is apparently from a Japanese company called "Diane". Maybe.
My Genco "Fluid Steel", which appears to possess some magical properties of smoothness...
A Star Works Solingen "FAMA". I haven't shaved with it yet, but it's a nice one to look at....
The huge Cornetta, in desperate need of rescaling and a bit of edge repair.
My Tosuke, which satisfied my Kamisori RAD.
We have a Wapi in the original scales, a great shaver from our very own Hoglahoo.
There's my Kropp, my first straight and a lovely Sheffield shaver.
And last but not least, my Beardsley & Alvord "Empire Razor", out of restoration and ready to be honed.
My DA is not pictured, as it's still a work in Progress.Last edited by JimR; 04-19-2009 at 04:08 AM.

Thanks! But no razors have left my possession...these are all I've ever touched. I have a feeling a couple might end up in the classifieds after some TLC.
Thanks. That one's my star, as you can tell from other comments. I've put a lot of work into it, both physicially and mentally, so I plan to be buried with it.
The Tosuke is pretty small and light. It's nimble, but took some getting used to. After I figured out how to shave with it, it lost a lot of its allure...
That second is indeed a beauty. Just...massive. Not like a bit chopper, I'm sure...more like a frigate. Can't wait to shave with it!

All very nice, the Japanese Razor's have always interested me, just don't know if I have the skill set yet to use one.

I don't think you're addicted yet.
Love em all but that last Beardsley & Alvord "Empire Razor" is just plain gorgeous and that big Cornetta looks like a killer blade.
