Thanked: 151Joseph Rogers 15/16 in Faux Tortoise
Here is a 15/16 razor I bought off ebay. THe last razor I did of this size was said to have scales too large. The scales here are the same size and shape of the ones I took off it originally (bone that was chipped beyond repair). I admit the feel is a little better although this razor is a little smaller and much lighter. I used a brass wedge and might add a spacer with a third pin, but I haven't decided. I might also make a wider wedge, I just don't have the brass currently thicker than this, but that should be easy. I sold the last Chopper I had and was sick after shave testing it. I can't wait to get honing so I can start Monday off right! It isn't perfect or top notch but I thought I would share it to hear suggestions. The last photo is a razor added recently to the butcher shop so there are more pics of it there. I did both of these this weekend and the sandpaper has worn off my right index fingernail so I have to stop for a day or so.

Very nice,Trey. The brass goes well with the faux tortoise. The blade looks real good.A little thicker wedge would allow the blade to sit deeper in the scales. But you already knew that.

Thanked: 151I agree. I think tomorrow I will get online and see if I can find some 1/8 Bar Stock brass and then unpin it and ad a new wedge. It would also make it a little safer I think.
Thanks for the comments.

Nice job Trey. I don't think that blade needs to sit much deeper than it does now but no accounting for taste.
The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

Thanked: 151Its been a while since these were sold, but as I remember they were both great shavers. I really like the heavier grind English blades, they seem best for my beard.
