Great work as always from the "Mad Max"

Max, question, do you think the razor was made that small from the factory???? I just haven't seen many wedges under 4/8 I guess they are out there but most of these little stylist types are normally hollows...

    Glen,

Im not trying to answer for Max but the one I have is 4/8 on the nose and had little hone wear when I got it. It looked to have started life a 4/8 razor and no larger. Im interested to see what Max thinks about the 7/16 too.

    G man,

those Bowdin wedges were sold in 4/8 sizes. I've seen the boxes that go with them that said 4/8 on the box. This one is just a tad under under 4/8 which is probably due to prior usage, honing and the likes.

They were also available and sold in 5/8 sized wedges. They resemble and shave so close to the Red Imp ones.

Those little buggers shave like little sports cars. Truly amazing little shavers just like the Red Imps.

Max you keep talking like that your going to have me on the buffing wheel tonight. I have not restored mine yet or honed it but all this talk might make me pull it out.

Nice work balancing the slender blade with slim, yet stylish (of course!) scales.

Another source for new small wedges, would be the Dovo stainless 4/8 and under you see fairly often. I'm not a fan of small blades, but my tiny little Helje Le Duc (9/16) is a terrific shaver. Almost makes me want to get a shiny new Dovo like that.

The scales match the blade really well. I enjoy the look of that blue Paua acrylic. It is neat stuff. I don't think I have seen it before in blue.
