Exclamation Fancy 6 Day Set: #1 Wednesday- Gunshots

This is the start of my fixing up 6 razors that make up what remains of a 7-day set. I got this set a while ago and it was obviously missing one of the 7 day set. No matter. The scales were all ivory but all broken. The blades however were very unique. Thomas Turton & Sons, Sheffield were actually made with or by Greaves (see Uniclectica under Greaves). Note the spine work- I've never seen any like it.

Anyway, here is the first of six- all needed regrinds and I reshaped the points too. Scales are G10, spacer is micarta. The 'gunshots' around the 'target' are all done by hand.

Note: the natural light that I used in the photography tends to make many things seem 'harsher' than in real life.

That is some of the most unique scales I have ever seen. Simply beautiful work that goes great with a very different blade. I don't know what your inspiration was , but you hit a HOME RUN!!!

That looks amazing. Do you plan to restore the rest of the set in the same way, or will each razor have a different design?
