    Default C-Mon - HF - Peter J. Michels, Inc.

I was on the prowl for one those gorgeous scaled C-MONS for a long time. My patience finally did pay off as I did find one not so long ago in pretty good condition for its age. Been sitting in my drawer for a little while.

I decided to send it out to Max for a full restore. It came back in pristine condition

It's fun to work on all those big wedges and meat choppers but those full hollow oldies are hard to beat. They all take an incredible wicked sharp edge.

The G-man knows exactly what I'm talking about cause we both share the same passion for those super wicked full hollows.

Tonight I'm taking this baby for a spin.

I know there's the C-Mon blackie, diamond, special,.. but if anyone can shed some light as what the 'HF' stands for that would be great!

Sweetness with Sugar on top Mad Max

I have one of those too and those HF's are some smooth steel, in fact one of my tops...

I have always assumed the HF was for Hand Forged I do not know for sure though... Just made perfect sense with the hammed tang on them...

After your test shave, did you pack it up and put it on your front porch, too?

    Thumbs up

I just finished my shave and the G-man was right on the bat. Smooth and sharp. Woohoo..

I used the Shaptons, Naniwa 12k and finished on my Karasu.

This C-Mon is heaven and I feel sad my shave's already over

Also: Totally unbelievable that the diamond on the tang was still enameled and the diamond on the scales matches....

    Nice find!
