I had a go with my 8/8 Theunissen, which I suspect to actually be a Dorko, and the shave really was top-notch.
Perhaps I now know why Dorkos inspire such craziness on Ebay!

Shaves like a Dorko. I have had a bunch of razors pass through my hands. I have never sold a Dorko and seek them out when looking for another blade. I also have several Heribert Wacker razors, never parted with one of them either.
The wedge, it is a wedge not a squared spacer, is made from purple heart wood. I have a jig of sorts that I have made for sanding the wedges to the proper shape on the disk sander. It does not take much angle to shape them.
