C-Mon Special - Original restore
Cmon special send to me for a revive and restore to original condition.
I removed the blade which needed most of the work as the scales were in pretty good condition to start with. I completely removed all the stains, pitting, blemishes and patchy left over gold wash.
I did spend some time restoring this c-mon since it is a full hollow and they tend to get hot very fast. After all blemishes were removed, I polished and buffed it back to a mirror showroom shine.
The scales were sanded down with some high grit wet sandpaper and buffed on the wheels. Everything was professionally peened back together with the original washers I recovered.
Tomorrow she'll visit the hones and then send back to the Golden state. Owning 2 c-mons myself I can vouch for a splendid shaver.
Brand: C-Mon Special
Grind: 5/8 Full Hollow
Blade cutting edge: 2.7"
Total weight: 1.3 oz

Yep, I'd happily drive that one off the showroom floor

If I didn't see it with my own eyes I would'nt believe it ! Magnificent work.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Man that is magnificent! the first pic looks like something a barber's son let sit in a box in the garage for years before giving to a friend. Glad the guy knew enough to send it to you. That thing looks like it just came out of the box, completely mint. I doubt he expected such a transformation.

it's restores like this one that make me want to go to antique shops all day long, hunting between silverware and knife collections, dusty porcelain dolls and baseball cards, just to find that long lost (insert hyped up razor brand here) and have Max bring it back to life.
