Default Tuckmar in birdseye maple acrylic

No dremel work to the blade. Just a straight-up re-scale.

That's stunning! The scales really enhance the blade. I love the wedge, & the fact that you've transferred the Tuckmar badge over. I actually think it looks ok without a thumbnotch too!

I really like this one. Great choice to leave the lines simple and clean.

    How does it shave?

Yes, this one has a simple elegance and class.

And I've never seen a Tuckmar stainless before, so I decided to not mess with it.

Haven't honed it up yet, so we'll see how it shaves...

I think you did a bang up job with those scales. I can't help but see the first picture and have the traditionalist that I am in me scream, "those original scales were sweet! Arghhhh!". Were the original scales really in that pristine condition??

Yup, they were shiny, and like brandy-new.

Then I hit them up with acetone to get the Tuckmar emblem off, and now they look like they've been slimed by blood from one of the Alien movies!

What's so "traditional" about a set of faux ivory plastic scales?

Agreed, Seraphim, I like your work a lot, and I was with you on the Wade and butchered you did, but on this one I don't know... All respect, great work, but the original looked awesome.
