    Beautiful! The shape of the scales is very complimentary to the blade.

    What is the merit of the third pin? Just as a blade stop?

    Just curious, really.

    Love the faux horn. Quite nice, really. I see your getting quite fancy with the washers lately. They do give it an extra bump. Kudos.

    I have looked and looked at 3rd pins on vintage razors, most don't even tounch the tang when the razor is fully closed... They do function as a blade stop on some razors but very few actually need them... Myself I use them for decoration.....
    They also require a bit of skill to fit properly, whether on custom or on vintage so it does add the hint of quality, I guess

    I would say defiantly not the warping issue, in fact many scales are more warped because of them....

    Glen, this is hands down some of your best work IMO. really beautiful. can you tell me more about the material, mainly is it synthetic? and how hard tow ork with. I want to find something to throw on a blade without getting in too deep.

    my understanding is that other than cosmetics, it is sometimes used to spread the scales on blades that have thick tangs. I know some look like they're used for stops/rests.
