Thumbs up Wade & Butcher, Sheffield - The Celebrated ~ Black Horn

A W&B that will be going to Hong Kong.

Basically this razor was sent to me for a further cleanup/as it still had some patina, stains and few pitted areas.

Besides the few remaining spots close to the etching everything else was removed and shined up again.

The original scales were horn too but had to many chipped parts missing so replacement scales were in order. I was given the choice for black horn or black linen micarta.

I decided on a traditional, simple , close to the original scales, yet elegant, stylish set of scales in black buffalo horn polished to a high mirror shine. Tapered bloody red jasper recon stone wedge and the usual brass/stainless steel pins & washers.

This is one of W&B's famous and classic razors.

In case you're wondering where the black horn comes from I've added a picture with some unfinished black buffalo horn which is basically what's available in slab form.

    Enjoy

Beautiful razor and the bone really shines. Where did you find the horn?

    Excellent Max !!
    Authentic look & materials.
Love the Asiatic Buff horn. Glows like an 8 ball.
