Filarmonica #13 - Doble Temple - Buffalo Horn
What can I say.
We have a Filarmonica frenzy going on lately in the shaving community and now everyone wants horn.
The blade was in need of a good cleanup and it was decided to completely restore and shine it up. This also meant losing the etching which was pretty much tarnished and stained. Blade looks like new again after a doctors visit to my compounds and wheels.
As to the scales, black horn with faux ivory tapered wedge.
This one belongs to Justin, my local Vegas Jazz player who is moving to N.Y. to try out his luck in expanding his musical gift. He's one hell of a extraordinary bass player (amongst other instruments). I'm wishing him all the best in pursuing his musical career.
(Alex, if you read this..you guys should team up and have a jam session!)

Black horn is one of my all time favorite scale materials and Max, you manipulate and shape it masterfully.
I like the horn shape of these scales with the pointed scale tips. Given that it's a Spanish razor El Toro is made reference to in these scales.
Very nice, Max.

Man, that is more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. From the far out there, to the traditional, to the positively sensuous, Max has a gifted eye for design. I told him to do just that, 'sensuous like spanish classical music', and he has far exceeded my expectations.
For what it's worth, my SO has never really said much about the razors I've shown her, either in person or in pictures. She simply accepts the fact that I am very odd indeed and into many eccentric things. BUT I just showed her this gallery and she responded: 'oooo, that's yours? That's pretty!'Last edited by bassguy; 07-16-2009 at 11:08 PM.
