Default Filarmonica 7/8 Custom Crushed Emerald Acrylic

This is one of those Classic Shaving Flarmoinca Doble Temple's they were selling off...

Interesting to say the least The razor came to me with a cracked scale at the center pin if you look closely at the pics you can see they stress they created when it came from the factory

The razor didn't sit right in the scales which I noticed here in this pic you can see the bottom of the tang when the razor is closed...

After I popped the pins i found out why, look at how they drilled the pivot hole...

I built new scales around all the problems, this is some of the new Acrylics that I found in "Crushed Emerald" this place has like 40-50 different colors for me to mess with...

All Brass hardware and a new Star shaped concho for the center pin, after I re-sized the spacer to these scales and no stress

Oh yeah, just for certain people out there, the razor balances to the tang...

Nice job Glenderson! I have one of those unfortunate razors. DO you need any nice wood?

Funny how some of the top makers skimp on little things like drilling a straight hole in the tang Just a slight impasse for da G-Man tho.

Nicely done ma man. Like the "Texas Star" 3rd pin too
The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

Where do you get your acrylics? I'm getting prepared to put some scales on a blade.
    Thanks,

    Kent:
I saw your question on the other thread too, sir, but this source is still unproved.... I have made only 2 sets of scales out of their stuff, so I don't feel comfoftable with quoting a source yet...

Once I have done a few more sets and made sure there are no problems, I will be more than happy to give a link...Rest assured before I post a source I have tested something to the best of my ability...

Also these are blocks of acrylics, so you have to have a saw that can cut them into sheets....
