I've been looking hard for a "wood finish" thread, but have failed.

What does a clueless person (me) have to do, to be taught these wood crafting arts?

They look incredible, they really do. Congratulations.

Step 1: Get a good book or two on wood finishing. (Anyone may feel free to pm me if they want suggestions) There are also good web resouces.

    Step 2: Practice

Step 3: Make something beautiful and post pictures.

    Cheers,
    Dan

Very beautiful. I just got a set of bird's eye ready, and hope they will be 1/10th as nice.

Another excellent restore Max! Now I'm confused. I'm not sure if I like these scales or your tortoise scales better. I guess I'll take the pc route ans say it depends on which blade they are matched with. This match is perfect!
