Thanked: 293Max Strikes Again (for Ogie!)
Here is a double job that I asked Max for. A couple of old and beat up razors that he made new. The first one is a Gold Bug. I'll post the before's and then the after's:

Needless to say, he's done a fantastic job as usual, and I am a VERY LUCKY MAN!

The aces looked fairly pitted too! Sweet job. Stainless pins are very nice too. Classy.

You must be very happy.
What's with all the gold bugs popping up? None since the forum crash and now 3 in 3 weeks. Seems they are the flavor of the month.

Thanked: 293I heard good things a couple months ago; I think Glen had a post about a Bug he restored and Lynn chimed in with one that he had in his collection - since then I kept my eyes open. I couldn't find that old post, maybe Glen could link to it.
So I saw this one on eBay a month or two ago and couldn't decide what to do with it since it was in sad shape. The rest is history.
The EA was easy -- Max has a picture on his website of one he restored previously... and if that wasn't enough, here's a sparkling recommendation for that one.
EDIT: And I AM very happy!Last edited by Oglethorpe; 07-31-2009 at 03:01 AM.
