Max, if you look really closely at that before of the tang, it looks to me like it definitely is C. V and I believe an H, with the right vertical rusted away, and a pit making it look a bit like an "E", but....
The 73 also looks like the same font set used to number C. V. Heljestrand razors....
Maybe?

Words fail me, that is a truly amazing resto, if I'd come across that razor at a flea market or antique shop I would have certainly let it be
