A Morley by Max
A few months ago my folks sent me down a shipment of several razors they won in an auction. I posted about it here and amongst them was a W.H Morley and Sons "Trade Mark". It had the ugliest scales (IMHO) of the lot and I also thought it was the most interesting blade. Maybe it was just the clover logo that I liked.
As a gift to myself I decided to send it out to Max to be rescaled and cleaned up. I asked him to use the G10 black/tan material for the scales because I think it's a wicked compliment to a mirror-finish razor. Here's one of the before pictures I took along with two of the after pictures by Max. Razor will hopefully be delivered by this weekend.
The blade is etched "Trade Mark" with the clover hallmark in the center. I really just hoped to keep the logo after the finish but Max managed to keep the text as well. Many thanks!

I really like the way the scales mirror the shape of the blade on this one. Congratulations!

you are absolutely right, that logo is really cool and that scale material is one of the sharpest looking IMO. I only wonder if a green and tan/cream g10 would look awesome on a clover.....hmmmm...

Very nice! If it takes edge like my Morley, it's a da*n good shaver.

I meant no disrespect Dan! I've seen some of your work and have to agree with Glen that You Da Man also!! In fact, I am very impressed with the number of great restoring artists here on SRP and those budding craftsman making their way to join your ranks!
Glen, don't feel left out. I just can't think of the right words to justify your most impressive expertise yet.“If you always do what you always did, you will always get what you always got.” (A. Einstein)
