W. Greaves 17/16 in restored Bone
Everything about this razor is massive.
Shortened scales because of 2nd pinning location. Probably not original scales, but, I definitely made them fit this razor well. The tang is a little bit big for them, however, and there was no flex whatsoever so, it does close a little tight.
Blade got the WORKS. It was in really bad shape. Everything I could throw at it...but I did not regrind.
Pins: 3/32" brass rod peened out to fit some fairly close in size metric brass washers I found at a local hardware shop. I made Everything much larger than normal. The original holes and pins were 1/8"! huge!
Before pictures first. here we go.

And here are Afters. The scales were fairly uneven in terms of shaping and thickness. I did fix them up a bit, but, I was worried about structural integrity, so, I took them as far as I felt safe.
this razor is absolutely gorgeous now

The last pic there is next to a 5/8 razor with 1/16" pins. Just as sort of a size comparison.

That's my baby! I'm so excited to get her back! She's a monster, so whatever used to be in those scales must have been Godzilla!
