Default Semi Custom - LRH Blade Blank

So, I think most of you know about Butch's blade blank project. If not search the forums, you will find it. Anyways, I had him grind me up one of these bad boys and when it arrived I was just shocked at how big of a blade it is. It is absolutely massive. Truly Awesome. It is over 7/8" Wedge with a 3" long cutting edge.

So, this thing is not traditionally shaped, which I love, so I wanted to do some very non-traditional scales and here is what I came up with. Blue Paua/Acrylic with black backing and a Pearl Acrylic Wedge.

That is mighty pretty. I got one of Butch's ball bearing steel ... I think it is 5100 steel ? Flawless workmanship and shaves like a dream. Looks to me like the same blade profile. The man knows how to make a razor.
