Friodur 8/8 <|> Wapienica brotherhood in G10 Jade Ghost/Black and Blue
Nothing much to add about the Friodur 8/8 to its excellent performance but it sure beats the 7/8 Friodur. For me the Friodur 8/8 is my favorite of the bunch. It's a longer blade compared to the 7/8 but it gives me better feedback. YMMV.
These were 2 rescaling jobs for Frank, one of our members. He wanted the G10 black/blue for the Wapi and gave me total freedom for the Friodur. Both in material and design. Since I already did some work for Frank I knew exactly what he would favor.
Friodur was rescaled in G10 Jade Ghost, stainless steel washers, nickel silver pins, flat torx screw embedded in the scale for the third pin and tapered burgundy linen micarta .
The Wapi got the G10 Black/Blue treatment with stainless steel washers, nickel silver pins, hollow tube rod and tapered black linen micarta .
Enjoy.

Thanks for the viewing pleasure, Max. I love the look of that ghost micarta, and I'm sure it's even better to look at in person. I love the spacer on that razor, the offset pin and the shape of the scales with how they mimic the notch of the razor is clever and complimentary as well.
Thanks Max.

Thanked: 132Mmm, the Friodur looks yummy...i think it looks quite exotic, as the scales look like jade, imo.
Ive not seen a rescaled Wapi, ive liked, until now...always prefered original stainless scales. The size, color and dimensions of the scales compliment the blade very well.
Truely, a masterful dispay.
Thanks Max!

I love those Friodur's! You've made me wonder if my 7/8 is enough!
Did you polish it? It looks pretty shiny compared to how they usually arrive.
Great stuff, Max.
