Thanked: 735Filly back in black
Found a Filly for under $140 on Ebay.......but it was in need of a little work...
Nothing a little elbow grease couldn't take care of!
Now I have a pretty nice Filly #12. Black matte acrylic over aluminum scales with clear acrylic wedge.
Too bad I usually like my razors bigger than this. I'll see how it shaves after a honing.

Thanked: 1262Nice work. I am a sucker for plain black scales.
What did you use to clean up the blade?

Thanked: 30wow! Just wow!
What a beauty! I kind of have a "thing" for fillys, I've noticed. Every time I see a blade online or in an antique shop I say to myself "oooh, what kind of blade is that?" And it ends up usually being a filly or a boker.
That's really inspiring to see what a "little elbow grease" can do. Thanks for sharing those pics.

Seraphim,
I'll bet you'll put an edge on that Filly that'll keep it in your rotation!
BTW, nice clean-up on aisle #12
