    Those scales are beautiful! Great work. Hopefully he'll appreciate what you went through for him!

    Very nicely done Brad! I was thinking of going this route for a rescale. If I do I guess I should have at it before it gets too cold in my shop so I can keep the doors and windows open. It will probably drive the dogs nuts. They like stinky stuff ya know. At least they haven't rolled in poop or gotten sprayed by a skunk yet this summer. Stinky dead fish is another of their favorite roll on stuff.

    Don't know how deep that edge pitting goes but maybe just as well to not tempt fate.

    Thats inspiring work there Brad, I definately want to try the bone scales myself. Did you just get a big bone from the butcher and let it dry out, or is it more complicated than that?

    I used a bone from a pet shop, meant for dogs. They are pre-cooked, and therefore dried out, I had no issues at all with it, I highly recommend it -- just pick out your bone CAREFULLY... u want as many flat surfaces as possible.
