I did this for one of the guys here in town. The blade was pretty rough with a lot of rusting and pitting. The original horn scales were badly beaten up and were starting to split really badly.

The pitting was really bad around the mark on the tang, so after some consultation, it was decided to leave the pitting on the sides of the tang and remove everything else. I like the way it turned out. A little old, a little new.

The scales are the original shape with new materials. Matte finish on the black linen micarta, to get a little bit different from the shiny black scales that are on a lot of razors. Used a purpleheart wedge for accent.

I have not been overly impressed with the shaves I have received from W&Bs in the past, but this one was awesome.
