Before and after pictures. The etching had to go because of the condtion of the blade. Wood is Yellow Heart, pind nickle silver, washer ss, spacer acrylic. Pics by JrJoeD. This one is an excellent and smooth shaver!!

Great job, I like the similarity between the old scales and the new ones.

Is that a true full wedge?

Sorry. The etching onthebladewas more of a frosting and read: You lather well, I'll shave well. It is as close to a true wedge as I've seen.

Here is a pic of the etching I snagged off an online page somewhere:

    Nice one Joe.
Sad to see the horn scales retired but that Yellowheart looks great
The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

Too bad about the etching indeed, but very nice work on the restore and rescale. I had one of these, and she was a first class shaver (I believe you had a chance to have a go with her). I'm sure yours will seve you just as well, if not better.

I remember your's quite well and it was a great shaver. I thought of that one when we saw this one in the shop. Your's was in much better condition though, but for what we paid for this one it will do just fine. It also gave me some quality time with my new mistresses Ms Buff and Ms Polish! Gotta say, CarrieM has been handling this relationship very well, as she did with my last set of mistresses, Ms Hone and Ms As. CarrieM is just the BEST!!
