    They are the same size. I think it's an illusion, the pivot might be peened slightly bigger but they are very close in size.

    Thanks, I kind of made the hole for it almost a little too small and shoved it in there and then sanded down the abalone. Turned out better than i thought as I have done worse before.

    Looks good. I did a similar thing with Rhinestones once. Not a flush finish like yours but I have some Paua dots I've been meaning to try.

    Excellent - Looks like a sun setting under a red sky - Has a bit of a zen feeling to it - I really really like that.
