Default Restored Joseph Rodgers And Sons

Hi, here is my Latest restore, I conveniently didnt take any before shots.

There is some pitting left on the blade where the rust was worst, the Horn Scales have been sanded down to remove some deeply burnt in letters, a forces I.D. number perhaps? before being polished back to nice deep luster
I hand turned the brass pins and managed to save the original washers.
She shaves better than anything I have ever used

Many thanks for looking and your comments are very gratefully received

Slick scales. Nice even spine & edge bevel.
I get the impression you like the shave

Fantastic job! Those scales look great! I love when somebody restores the original scales. I think it adds a touch of class to the restore! The pin job is outstanding also. I could tell that it was a good shaver just by the look of the blade. Sure is even more satisfying of a shave when you have restored the razor your self! Way to Go!

    Nice Save !!!

I have to agree there is something special about a Vintage restore, I mean I love doing Custom stuff because they are pretty, but a Vintage save just has more soul I guess...

Don't worry about the before shots man... one of my biggest mistakes is missing so many of them I think we just get excited to start on the razor...

Glen, I blame you & Max for this bad habit some of us have acquired

Nice restore! Isn't it great when we bring straights back to their original state and put them back in service?! Enjoy your shaves with this beauty!

Many Thanks, I do believe in keeping things original if I can, and I have to say the Shaves I get with this are the best.
