Thanked: 132455 "Working Razors" retored and ready for service again!!!!
One of our Members here Jaguar sent me a gaggle of razor to get back up and running... these ranged from great shape, but scratched up, The "Luna" to a total wreck, the Otto that had a huge chip outta the toe....
Straight down at the 6 O'Clock position is the Fiest "Luna 13/16 going clockwise we have a re-contoured 9/16 Otto Deutsch "Hans".. Next a really nice Tortalan's Silver Steel 6/8 followed by a 5/8 Bengall... Finally the real problem child of the group a 9/16 "Old Faithful" I had to re-contour the entire blade because of a bad heel so I put a gentle smile back into the edge to match the spine curve.. this one could have used more buffing but I was getting a little scared about the steel so I backed off, the Macro lens is picking up the left over pitting way more than the eye does.... All 5 were buffed out to a soft satin finish, they will be heading home after some test shaves
I guess I have some honing to do on a cold rainy October day....

I like the looks of the finishing on the metal. The satin looks great. Most of my own users have about the same finish.

Wow
Amazing work...I can't believe it. I am excited to see them, and more importantly, try them out for a test shave!
For those who are interested, here are some of the "before" pics when I first sent them to Glen, who has resurrected them.

I like this stuff every bit as much as the glamor stuff. Good razors, with a good finish, simple and solid. Satisfies like a fried chicken dinner...

Great looking bunch of blades there Jaguar !
Nice save on the Otto & Old Faithful GlenThe white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.
