Wade & Butcher 7/8 wedge sway back French point in pearl
This is a rather unique razor, you do not see many French point W&B razors. This is a 7/8 blade with virtually no hone ware and a sway back spine. The grind is wedge but it is a slightly hollow wedge. Not enough to call it a quarter hollow but not what I would call a true wedge. You can see the grind in the toe end photo. The blade has gotten a high grit sanding and a buffing progression to shine up the blade. It is not cosmetically perfect, there is still a patina speckle here and there. There is a small pit up by the spine on one side and a 3 small grooves in another location along the spine, something scraped it and put a groove on it but it is minor.
The scales are a synthetic pearl with a synthetic green pearl wedge. Pins are 1/16 brass rod with brass over stainless washers. The blade has brass thrust bearings.
I honed it out through 12K and gave it a few passes on some 0.5 micron chrome ox paste. It is super sharp and gives an incredible shave. I is a darn good looking and phenomenal shaving razor. I may use it for another day but it is going into the classifieds. Hate to sell it, it is a super shaving big blade but I have a uber fancy Livi on order and I dont need 50 razors in my shaving rotation.

The French point is somewhat unique. I have had other W&B French but never one this large. They have always been 5/8 or 6/8. I used it again this morning. It really is an incredible shaving razor. I am very tempted to keep it and sell a different one. I had best list it in the Classifieds before I change my mind. I just have to remind myself of that Livi I have on order.
