In which a n00b experiments with synthetics
Wade & Butcher ~13/16 frameback in synthetic black pearl. Wedge is synth white pearl.
I spent maybe 20 hours sanding on this blade to get it where it is now. With no access to a buffer besides my dremel I decided enough was enough and fabricated a set of scales for it this evening.

Yep, 20 hours of sanding is more than enuff
Nice job & classy scalesThe white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

Wooow! Normally I´m not a fan from artificial materials, but this black pearl is absolutely beautiful. Also the shape of the handle and how it works together with the blade is really superb.
Where you found this black pearl?

I prefer more traditional scale styles.However,I can appreciate how much work you have done.The blade turned out nice,and that is some beautiful material.
