Talking R.C. Allman Custom in Jade Ghost G10

Well it took me a while to get it done but at last my new beast is together! A big thanks goes to Bob Allman(O.C.D. Razors, boballman) for giving me the time of day in the first place and for building such an awsome razor. Bob, you really are a great person and craftsman. I figured out something the other day......I LOVE Jade Ghost G10! Started with my Red Imp, then my Goldedge(that brass was a P.I.T.A.), and once again here. Bob was kind enough to send the hardware to assemble the scales as well. It took me a while to decide on the shape for the scales but it finally came to me and I am very happy with what I decided on. It hits the hones soon and I will update you all on how the shave goes. Well....here you go, I hope Bob and all of you like it. It will be pulled back apart so I can Loc-tite the screws but I just had to get it together so I could share some pics. 8/8's Full Hollow btw.

Bob is the man to start with and our own Phil is the man to finish it.

Nicely done Phil and kudos for getting the pivot barrel and torx screws perfectly to fit. It's a bit of a meticulous work.

Now it's time to hone this puppy up and see it back in the SOTD where it needs all the TLC it deserves.

I got the hones soaking now Max. This razor looks even better in person. Phill did a great job. Complemented Mr. Allmans great blade well IMO!

That's one impressive blade ...& scales to match
    Like the wedge pin placement.
The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

Now that is a nice job! I've never seen Jade Ghost quite so close up, it has a lot more texture than I was expecting. Hopefully it shaves as good as it looks (and by all accounts, that Allman blade will definitely be smooth).

Oh the scales are as smooth as glass but they do show a nice grain up close. They have been sanded up to 2000 grit wet and hit with white rouge.

After all that, smooth as glass sounds about right! Makes for a gorgeous looking material, and I imagine a joy to handle.

Nice job! The placement of the wedge pin give that a great balanced look.
