Default Yet another Wade & Butcher mirror polished in abalone

This is an old Wade and Butcher 7/8 spike wedge. The blade got an extensive restoration. It was sanded up through 8000 micromesh and then buffed on 4 compounds to bring it to a mirror finish. The blade is nearly blemish free but there is one small patina spot on one side by the toe but you have to look very close to see it. There is little hone ware and a darn good looking razor.

I had it listed in the Classifieds with a selection of scales. The buyer picked Abalone, good choice. I started to scale the blade in abalone to begin with then thought I would give a few options.

Well, it is all together and polished. Darn good looking razor. Big heafty blade, it matches with the scales nicely. The wedge is green acrylic, pins are brass rod with brass over stainless washers. The blade has brass thrust bearings. Kind of wishing I had kept this one. It will make a nice addeiton to they buyers collection.
