Default MAX Makeovers: Palmera #14 and Henckels Friodur

Max has worked his magic with a couple of my razors... First up is the Palmera #14 rescaled in black horn with faux ivory wedge. Next is a Henckels Friodur in faux ivory scales. I wanted both to look as close to the original as possible but with scales upgraded to high quality. The blades are so top notch, I wanted scales that deserved the match.

    Enjoy!

Absolutely fabulous. If they shave only half as well as they look, you'll have a lot of fun. Congratulations.

Thanks a lot. Max is the photographer, though! And I agree, he's great at it.

I've long wanted to get Max to do his thing to a few in my collection. I have a couple more with him, now.

I already know how they shave... The Friodur is fantastic. Very smooth and holds an edge forever. I once shaved with it continuously for 3 months, just stropping, no hones or touch ups. The Palmera is as good as my Filarmonica Especial para barbas duras. That's saying something...
