Tactical Wapi / Coyote G10 Scales
This one is for Sly712 . Being in the army reserves his request was for a darkened blade & pins, textured scales & low reflectiveness.
"This man knows the value of not being seen" Couldn't resist the Monty Python reference.
The blade was taken to a satin brushed finish, blued & given one coat of ferric chloride. The FeCl was neutralised then a light polish & onto the scales.
Big ups to the guys that use G10 because its not real friendly to work with & hard on tools. On the plus side its just about bombproof & perfect for this application.
Scales were only sanded on the bevels up to 360 grit to keep the grip secure & the glint low.
Fitted with brass thrust washers , black acrylic wedge & the pins & washers got a drop of gun blue for good measureThe white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

Nice work. Reminds me of the Glock that I used to carry.....
