Thread: C-MON HF in original scales

Well this one was in such bad condition to start, I don't think I will be taking on one this bad until I get a few more under my belt (if ever again). I even plan on going back to this one when I get more experience.

The before pictures are after an initial clean up with a toothbrush soap and water, followed by some Maas just to see what I was dealing with. The inlays were green, and that is not a shadow on the tang, it was really that black.

Blade:
Hand sanded to a polish with plenty of character left on the metal (by character I mean battle scars).

Scales:
Original scales and original 3rd pin (I left that pin in when I removed the blade, seemed like a better idea). Cleaned with a Mr Clean magic eraser followed by mass. Pinned with Nickel/Silver rods and polished SS washers. Spacer washers are original as well, cleaned with 2k grit and Maas.
