C-MON HF in original scales
Well this one was in such bad condition to start, I don't think I will be taking on one this bad until I get a few more under my belt (if ever again). I even plan on going back to this one when I get more experience.
The before pictures are after an initial clean up with a toothbrush soap and water, followed by some Maas just to see what I was dealing with. The inlays were green, and that is not a shadow on the tang, it was really that black.
Blade:
Hand sanded to a polish with plenty of character left on the metal (by character I mean battle scars).
Scales:
Original scales and original 3rd pin (I left that pin in when I removed the blade, seemed like a better idea). Cleaned with a Mr Clean magic eraser followed by mass. Pinned with Nickel/Silver rods and polished SS washers. Spacer washers are original as well, cleaned with 2k grit and Maas.

Thanked: 12Way to go! The scales are looking like new, and the blade is a pretty thing.

Looks very nice in the photos. Was that a sanding job that took multiple hours ? Scales came out beauteous too.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I own the exact same C-Mon HF. Lovely shavers and beautiful to boot. Enjoy your new reborn razor. Very nicely done.

Everything took hours, sanding scales, inlays, this was in pretty bad condition. Although the sanding was not too bad since I used my experimental vibrating sanding block when you consider the amount of sanding required.
The most tedius part was using a toothbrush and strop paste to get down into all the releif on the tang.

Excellent work. My C-Mon (a different model) is probably my most used shaver. That looks like a winner.
