Default First restore attempt and matching brush

Here is my first attempt at restoring and rescaling and making a brush. Need to re-do the finish on the scales but have been enjoying using them each morning. The wood is Cocobolo. The blade is a Joseph Allen Non XLL with all pits and scratches sanded and buffed out. The knot is a UK Badger 21mm from Golden Nib.

    Here is the blade shot......

The rear of the scales are glued together and have a 1/16 brass tube for looks. The front pin is just temporary. I need better thrust washers and some washers on the outside. Need to get some. Don't need 100 just now.

Oh it isn't that good.... Has many problems. Guess I could get back to it and finish it. Have enjoyed shaving with it too much.

Is that the Allen you got from me? If so, I may be able to dig up some "before" pictures. Regardless, you've done some great work there.
