    It's looking better now. Polished the wedge up & it's going back over the buffers later. May post another photo, as ther's already an improvement!

    this ones a good one! Love the shape of the blade & the sway in the spine!
    Just had an email from the horn supplier letting me know they're winding down the ebuy shop. They have a web shop where you can buy the scales individually, or in any number. Each does enough for two pairs.

    Hi Oz,
    Thanks! The chunky pin is actually a domed washer, over a plain washer. The pin is indeed slightly oversized though, as i find a slightly larger rod eliminates rattle on worn vintage pivot holes!
