Thanked: 3Balsa box travel kit i made for an xmas gift.
I made this balsa box travel kit to get my brother-in-law into straight shaving. i had some 12 oz leather left over from a motorcycle seat i made and i glued it on top for a strop. and i gave him a little sample of proraso. i think im gonna make one of these for myself, ive made a bunch of single razor boxes from balsa, next ill move up to real wood hehe. Oh and the razor is a small 3/8ths griffin(german) in plastic gunstock scales that i polished up all pretty.

Thanked: 77Nice one!
I'd been thinking of something very much like this a while ago including a stroppable lid - nice touch. I cut some pieces from an old red gum post I had, but decided it would be too heavy. Balsa never occurred to me.
Thanks for sharing.
All the best,
Michael.
ps Don't forget to lather up well and have a Santa face when you shave this Christmas!!!
