JA Henckels & a W&B coming out of the shop today !!!

These are for my friend Wescap34
He asked that both be polished out to a mirror finish, to make acrylic scales for the Henckels, and to pin the W&B after the polishing

I did the Henckels in a new color I just got in, a Blue/Black and Red/Orange Lava Flow, and used all brass hardware...

The W&B I used a triple stacked Bi-Metal set to give the bullseye look after I polished out the blade... I am not sure who made the scales, or what they are made out of, but not a bad set at all...

Now I just need to get them honed up without a wild piece of grit scratching the blade faces

I'm digging the lavaflow scales.

Did you make the material or did you purchase a slab of that? Just curious, really. I dont want to steal the thunder of the sixer.

I buy it in blocks, then rip it into blanks...
It is rather fun because depending how you rip the material you can get two totally different looks out of the same block and sometimes more...
It reminds me of ripping down high grained woods as the graining changes as you move through the block of wood...
Take the Golden Emerald Ice ones, the next set I ripped is almost the reverse in colors, more of a Emerald Golden Ice...

The bad thing with this stuff and why I haven't just ever posted the link is it is very hard to work with...

If you want some 1x1x6 inch blanks that are good looking and easier to work with www.woodpenpro.com has them buried on their site...(those tiger ones and the lighting style came from there)
The other way is to call every Plastics company near you, or the Neon sign companies near you, and BEG them to sell you some 12x12x1/8 inch sheets.. You can get these on the Internet too but shipping is more than the acrylic... Good luck
