Emperor Razor / Abalone Pearl acrylic scales
This is the second of Luc's batch & as we decided to preserve the etch it got no real coarse grit work.
Mostly 240 -400 flapwheels & some 600 wetndri. The rest was buffing with scotchbrite, compounds & Autosol on a looseleaf wheel.
Original scales were too narrow & dangerous allowing the heel to protrude so got to use my new Abalone Pearl acrylic . Never knew abalone formed pearls but there ya go. I like the overall look of this stuff & how it plays with light. Must remember to make myself a set of scales
NiAg. pins, stainless washers, brass thrust washers & original pewter wedge.
I'll hone this one up after doing a couple more so no shavetest yet.The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

Thanx Guys & yes Glen the color is there but subtle & my skills with the camera don't cut it. Here's another attempt to show the colour

Oz I know what you mean I so suck with a camera even the new one the wifey bought me... I haven't read the instruction book yet but I am hoping to figure out how to get the depth of the color in these new acrylics to show up in pics....
The good news is if yer like us, and can't take good pics at least your customers are always happy when they see the razor in person
