Default Christensen "challenge razor" in brass lined walnut.

Ok, this has been a long time coming... I really had hoped to get this done much sooner, but life happened and things came up and well you get the idea.

Anyhow, without further delay I submit my response to Bruno's resto challenge with this Christensen "Warranted" for your viewing and comments.

The scales are brass-lined claro walnut, and the wedge is maple. The blade had some rust and pits, but after honing it seems like there are not going to be any edge pit problems or anything. I did my level best to copy the original scale shape exactly, and here you go.

Sweet job! I really like how the pattern in the scales flows with the blade.

    Very Nicely Done !!!!!

The wood finish came out beautiful, it really shows the subtle grains...

What glue did you end up using on the liners BTW???

    Thanks a lot guys!

I had already used epoxy the last time you saw progress on this razor, next time I am going with gorilla glue. I was actually going to use that in the first place, but then I read on a certain razor restoration blog (I'm sure you are familiar) about not using gorilla glue. Since then I have read more info from the same source and for my own reasons I have decided to look for my info elsewhere from now on.

Great job & choice of timber.
