4/8 "Daedalus" in Bloodwood
This razor taught me a LOT. Specifically, the bloodwood taught me a lot: It is very, very brittle...and there is a limit to how thin you can shape wooden scales. I crossed that limit and paid with hours of work stabilizing hairline cracks with epoxy and an resulting finish that, while very good, is not up to my usual standards of perfection.
That said, the wood is lovely and glimmers in your hands. The blade polished up to a like-new shine, with very little hone wear. The wedge on this one is something special: Horn reclaimed from the broken scales of a very old Joseph Allen. I like recycling, and re-purposing.

It came out gorgeous.
I hear you on the blood wood though, I think they call it blood wood cause you have to give a little for it to do what you want.

very cool... could I impose on you for a closeup of the "daedalus" and other markings? I'd really like to see them... nerdy reasons, but Daedalus's is one of my favorite stories

Nice Job. Well done on the " recycled "wedge
The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

Thanks, guys! I really like this blade, with its gentle swayback.... hard to let this one go!
Dave, here are pictures of the stamps:
