    That is one sweet razor and a great collection......

    I love Biuckeye burl and have a few nice pieces around. I make reel seats for the bamboo flyrods that I make. Gorgeous wood IMHO.... will have to re-saw sometime.....

    not only do i have to get a custom brush off you one of these days, but now your telling me you make bamboo fly rods!!!! i dont have one of those yet!! i got an orvis trident tls and a couple temple fork outfitters,well going to do some hard water fishing this weekend. good luck on the rods

    Got my dad back into fly fishing years ago when I moved to Colorado. He makes his own rods as well. I believe he has made 3 bamboo for himself and half a dozen standard rods. Fun to do.

    Cool..... It is indeed a wonderful hobby. I just love fishing a rod I made from a raw stick of bamboo. Part of the reason I am restoring razors to use myself.... Just pleasurable to me.

    Here is the reel seat that went on my last rod.... Buckeye burl and I made the bands as well.



    Another one and I will stop hijacking this thread.....

    good looking work, just have to finish the ice fishing season,then the 1st of april is landlock salmon season, now thats a fish to fight on a fly rod,thanks for the pics.
