Filarmonica 14 Sub Cero - Hugo Köller - The Black Irish duo
Both the Köller and Filarmonica 14 Sub Cero were in excellent condition.
The work was mostly into the scales.
I got a drawing with some explanation for the Köller razor and a description for the Filarmonica.
I have to say the most difficult part was trying to taper the wedge for the Köller due to the requested 3 pin pyramid design. I had to retry twice.
The Filarmonica compared to the Koller is a beast of a razor. I love those big razors. I own two #14 myself. Also a 3 pin wedge was requested. But since they run parralel with the toe not as complicated as the Köller. Still always a meticulous job when drilling those holes.
Scales chosen are black paper micarta which I just love. It has a little flex, takes a beautiful shine or can be more satin looking, trouble free maintenance. Only downfall are the color options which are mostly only a handful.
As always a mix of nickel silver and brass hardware. Also requested bloody jasper recon stone for the wedges.
Those 2 left for Dublin, Ireland.
Enjoy Greg

The linear three pins on the Filly reminds me of a three button suit or else cuff links on a jet black coat. Very stylish and sophisticated (as usual). Man your work makes me want to dedicate some time to restoration.
