Default A Pipe for my brother

Well I finished my little brother's (made infamous for eternity in his first shave video) first razor last weekend and mailed it off to him. He has a brand new Cannon 50D to play with and a nice macro lens so he took a few images for me as I forgot to do s before shipping it off.

Full Hollow 6/8ths tumbled to a mirror. Scales are CA finished Argentine Lignum Vitae. The wedge is two tone striped Bakelite from a damaged pair of scales. I did make the scales just a little bit too small and teh heel peaked out a tiny bit. To remedy that I drilled a hole and added the copper tube as a third pin. Turned out to be a great effect and I have a few ideas for future uses of something similar.

Well done, I really like the copper tube for the third pin.

The finish of the blade looks especially even and velvety. Nice work!

    Looks excellent!

I'm in the middle of honing 2 Pipes as I type this. However, mine don't look half as nice as yours.

Nice job! the finish of the metal looks great and those scales are an instant classic. However I have to ask, will there be any adverse reactions between the steel and copper tube when the blade is closed, or just the copper oxidizing in general?

I am honestly not certain. What little metallurgy I know is insufficient in that area. I do not think there should be any reactions between the two. The oxidation is something either someone with more knowledge might answer or we wait and see. I do not think that they are the same type of oxidation, but could easily be wrong
