Thanked: 1072Harmonie 11/16 original restore
This ones been sitting on the to-do shelf for a while. Cleaned up nice though. Unpinned and hand sanded to 3000 grit, apart from a couple of very small marks that didnt come out its a pretty nice mirror finish. Scales got buffed and repinned with brass pins and washers.
Never heard of the brand, but I'm looking forward to shaving with it. Cant do it yet though, I finished honing it last night, went to get up from my seat with the open razor in my left hand and somehow managed to slash my right thumb wide open. Cant even strop it yet!"I aint like that no more...my wife, she cured me of drinking and wickedness"

Wow!
Thats a great job! It looks just like new..!
Sorry to hear about your thumb, I hope you heal quickly!
Its always amused me that newbies get all concerned about cutting their faces, when the worst injuries most of us do are to our hands when we're restoring or cleaning razors. The worst cut I ever got was to my thumb when I was polishing a razor with MAAS.
I hope you heal quickly and that this beauty shaves as great as it looks!

These actually shave pretty good. Had a shave not so long ago with another Harmonie. Great job on both the blade and scales.
Don't you hate numb feeling in the thumb? Just give it enough love just like you give to your razors and it'll heal just fine.

Nice Job Grant... on both counts .
I remember putting a W& B thru a leather glove & my finger once.
I learnt why they're called "Choppers"
Where did you get the 3k paper ? You been visiting the local Porsche dealerThe white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

Thanked: 1072Thanks mate.
3k paper came from my local Autobarn, they also had some other grits I hadn't come across before, 150, 360, 1500.
I just shaved with it tonight, very happy with the result. I was thinking about restoring and selling it but I might have to hang on to this one for a while.
Thanks
