    Will answer with a PM.

@mosley59: You are absolutely right. The tang would be nicer, if it is longer or thiner. Here are a pic from the razor unhardened.

Originally the blade and handle was concepted as an 7/8. The problem was, that we, the customer and I decided to let the blade as an 8/8 and so I must made the third pin, that the wider blade not comes out from the scales. But with the third pin it was not possible to close the razor, because of the long tail. I decided to shorten the tang a little bit. After the hardening this is more easy to make, than to rework the whole tang. Thats why its look, like its look

    Thumbs up

Buddel, that is absolutely beautiful. That's all that can be said.

Gents, I have the amazing fortune to own one of this master craftsman's earlier, Suminagashi beauties. All that a man could ever need. Not that that helps with the RAD....

Since it's winter and the humidity is low, I can indulge myself in some carbon steel, So I took the Buddel above down from the Wall of Shame in my office and refreshed the edge. Is it ever sharp! I love this razor.

You did a great job getting the lines of that razor to flow. The lines on that are just as good not matter whether the razor is open or closed.

    Beautiful!
