Custom Razor continued: Traditional spike point
Hey fellas, here is my latest grinding work... This one is a more traditional profiled spike point project. At this point just the rough grind is done... (I'm going to wait to do heat treat until I have a few ready).
here is the blank I started with
And here is my grinder (it's an old Delta Rockwell that I've updated some)
First thing I do is put a center line on my blank (there are lots of ways to do this and shouldn't require too much thought)
then I start a-grindin'
Here is my rough grind... it's about ready to go to HT

Lookin' good. Is the spine ridged ? round? square?
